Jenner Gleitz

On November 12, Hilton Chicago was delighted to host the 7th annual Chicago House Speaker Series Luncheon. The event featured a powerful keynote speech by Caitlyn Jenner in her first ever keynote address. The event benefited Chicago House and Social Service Agency, which serves individuals and families who are affected by HIV/AIDS, LGBTQ marginalization, poverty, homelessness, and/or gender nonconformity by providing housing, employment services, medical linkage and retention services, HIV prevention services, legal services, and other supportive programs.

The day began in the Boulevard Room where VIP guests enjoyed a meet-and-greet and photo with the day’s speaker, Caitlyn Jenner. For the main event, over 800 people packed the Grand Ballroom to enjoy lunch and the keynote address by Jenner. Her speech focused not only on telling her story but also included a very powerful message about the need for support in the transgender community. Cameras were also rolling for Jenner’s TV show, I Am Cait, and were on hand to capture the entire day. The hotel will be featured prominently in an episode during Season 2.

Chicago House Chief Executive Officer Stan Slone said, “Chicago House was thrilled with Caitlyn’s heartfelt, honest, and moving speech. You could have heard a pin drop in the room of over 800 guests, who walked away better informed of the needs and concerns of our transgender clients and residents. We were also thrilled to have raised well over $100,000 for the men, women and children who call Chicago House home. Most of all, we feel we made friends with Caitlyn and the incredible cast and crew of I Am Cait!”

“It is truly an Hilton honor to host this luncheon every year and we are thrilled to have set the scene for Caitlyn Jenner’s first keynote address,” added Hilton Chicago General Manager John Wells.
